First off, some challenging questions to get into the group! 🤔

Just got into Schwinn's in earnest the last few months and I'm already up to eight! Actually, I have had two for a few years, one of which I regularly ride, a 1991 Paramount and another 1972 Kool Lemon Continental that hung up in the garage, as I determined it was "too heavy to ride". I say this in the context that I'm an avid road rider, and a 37 pound Continental is a heckuva lot heavier than a 22 pound Paramount!

That all changed when I stumbled upon a good condition 1968 Sierra Brown Continental on Facebook Marketplace for $20. I decided to ride it with my vintage group and it performed well and I didn't really notice the weight as much as I thought. I then took down my 1972 Continental and rode that too. And I'm not talking around the block, but 25-50 miles with elevation.

Then I saw other Schwinn's for sale, so anywhere from $20-$50, so now I also have a 1963 Varsity, 1968 SS Tourer, 1972 Speedster, 1974 Collegiate and a 1974 Suburban. And I ride them all.

My latest is the 1968 SS Tourer (way more than $50), which was made only one year, and is a 15 speed with a Cro-Moly frame and aluminum rims. It was one of the bikes shown on the front of the 1968 Schwinn brochure (see pic below).

Anyhow, I do like the nostalgia of riding these bikes, compared to my other more modern non-Schwinn vintage bikes that I own (mostly 80's-90's).

Finally, I do post about my bikes, rides and Schwinn things in general on this Facebook page, which people are welcomed to post on as well! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1739484626854913

Welcome to the forum. Yeah, AI spammers are a real problem but Schwinn enthusiasts pretty much know the answers. You found a Super Sport Tourer? Wow, those bikes are very rare and very cool. They are fillet brazed  ;D Sounds like you have the Schwinn bug. They multiply so be careful. Have fun. We do like pictures.
