My buddy rescued an identical red Traveler from a farm, where, it at least lived in the barn after being forgotten about for a few decades. He hasn't gotten around to making it roadworthy, which, in his case, wouldn't take much. It is very similar to my 1973 Le Tour, a few differences. I went whole hog on the Le Tour, crankset, alloy seat post, wheels, pedals and such, it is now the boys bike.
It's a bummer how just a functional refit with tires, tubes, rim tapes, cables and brake pads eats up more than the now repaired bike is worth.

The World Traveler never made it to the catalog in 1973. The World Voyageur did however get a supplement to the catalog in 1973. They were the first bikes imported by Schwinn.
