My son participated on his high school mountain bike racing team. He was invited to State, which happened at Red Rock, in Chisholm, MN. A few action shots of him on the single track, on his Spanish mountain bike. The whole family went, even the dog, it is about a 3 hour drive from home. Yes, it was cold and wet. Didn't bother him a bit, but, mom and dad were bundled against the high 30 degree temps.

He didn't place highly, but had a blast. A little bittersweet as now he is done with that sport, he graduates in June. He attends Totino Grace high school. Mountain bike racing at the high school level wasn't a thing when I was in high school.

As long as he had fun doing it that's what it's all about. That's a pretty cool looking bike too.

I made this thread just for that type of bike. I'm sure there are plenty of countries that have made bicycles over the years but not in huge numbers. There's also things like Italian bikes made in Mexico.

One thing amazed me that's been going that I didn't know about in Spain is that the former motorcycle builder Bultaco has at some point morphed into another company and they are making a lot of bikes. It's called GasGas. I visited the Bultaco factory back in the late 70's in Barcelona on shore leave in the Navy.
