identify this bike please

Can anyone identify this bike for me please?

Looks like a Corvette with a couple of missing pieces like the front rack and original saddle. Serial number should be on the left rear drop out.

The serial number is from 1954. I don't own the bike, its for sale.

Looking at the 1954 Catalog, I am thinking a Jaguar or Corvette as they both had Stainless fenders, though the chain guard is incorrect for both.
