A few years back I found an ad for a Schwinn Twinn Deluxe. It was behind a shed and looked like a good candidate for the scrap pile. In a what the hell moment I picked it up and wanted to see if I could get it back in working condition.

Broke it down, re-lubed,cleaned and polished best I could and had to get some new parts. Tires cables, etc. I didn't repaint it even though it really needed it.

The before picture doesn't really show how bad it really was. All I need is the chain guard, which is challenging to find in good shape and decent price.

That Twinn actually looks pretty good.Fixing one of those up takes a bit of knowledge and patience. Some of the parts are tough to come buy if they can't be repaired.

I'm away for a few days but on my computer at home I have a picture of a Twinn I took on vacation about 10 years ago in Ocean City NJ. There wasn't a single spot that wasn't rusted, there was no paint or chrome left to see and the sign near it said For Sale $250 firm. I guess they knew what they had and they didn't want any low ball offers.

Here's a picture of the Twinn I saw in Ocean City NJ back in 2014. The picture makes look like much better condition than it was.

Wow they wanted $250 for that rust bucket. They wanted $75 for the one I purchased and got them down to $50. However it didn't have the original seats.
