I'm pretty certain I was able to fix the problem with the "Log In button". I had to remove a software mod that was causing the conflict. If you are still experiencing an "Error" when clicking on "Log in" and have to use the "register" button then log in please let me know. These are the growing pains I was referring to. Thanks.

I'm still finding a few members that are experiencing difficulties with the Log in button. Please let me know what browser you are using. I'm going to have to run a repair tool to fix this problem so it may take some time to fix the problem.

I ran the tool and it cleared the cache and everyone has to log in again in case you had it set to keep you logged in forever. Sorry about that but trying to get everything synchronized between the Simple Machines software and the server is somewhat tedious. Again these are the growing pains of setting up new software so please bear with me.

I'm using Google Chrome and the log in button still shows error. As soon as I hit the sign up button next to it, it logs me in instantly without having to type my username and password at all. Not the way you want it to work, but at least I can get in.

Jim.

This all has to do with a setting on whether the forum uses www.in the URL or not. If you have

this address

Everything works as intended but if it has www. in the URL problems with log in happen. Researching now how to make those two thing work together or eliminate one of them. The search engines all point to the www.URL

Made changes so I'm going to let ride for a while. Tired of having to enter my password over and over again after changes are made.

I was able to get the right fix at Simple Machines Forum and apply it to the behind the scenes file system to correct the main issue of www. or not that fixes the Log In error. Thanks everyone for your input. Carry on.
