I bought this bike from Bob Hufford. He shipped it to me from Springfield Missouri and that is where the dealer decal is from at the bottom of the seat tube. The bike came to me without a rear rack and it's a long story why that was. The problem however was solved a few years later by Rick Paulos when he found one just like mine and I offered to buy the rear rack from him. Needless to say Rick gave me a good deal and shipped it so no damage could happen. Thanks again Rick.

The racks both front and rear were made specifically for this bike by Panasonic in Japan. The '82 Super Sport is quite similar but it's just as difficult to find one of those bikes as it is for the Voyageur SP.

This bike is pretty close to stock as I could get. The handlebar tape is a different color and so are the cables. This twine job on the handlebar tape is my best one yet. I'm not going to shellac it though. The tape is Newbaums and is made about 45-50 miles from me in Philadelphia. It's the best cotton tape for the money in my opinion.

The derailleurs are original. The Suntour Superbe Tech rear derailleur is a master piece of complexity and assured aggravation if it ever malfunctions or wears out parts. I have a much more reliable Suntour XC Sport 7000  long cage as a back up. To change over to a more standard set up you have to remove the small tube the bare cable runs through and use a reducer w/housing cable stop and run a piece of housing to the rear derailleur. The rest of the bike needs no improvements or modifications and the stock brakes and the rest of running gear is above satisfactory.
