One of the most popular Schwinns in the 1985-1990s years.

Oversize tubing. Nicer version.  Made in Tawian.  Shimano 3x7 rapid fire.  A good year for the Frontier.

The serial is M7CF18932. the second position should be the year so it could be a 1997.  I'll get the date codes of the Shimano parts to confirm.
Just a reminder Schwinn had dozens of serial number systems, usually dependent on where the bikes were made, by who and when.

Yup, Schwinn had some very good bikes made for them in Taiwan. I rehabbed a 1990 model year Frontier for a co-worker and it turned out very nice.
