I took this bike downashore in 2023. They were having a Corvette Show on the Boardwalk and I found a 1972 Corvette to take it's picture with the Raleigh. The man that owned the Corvette was very cool and asked a lot of questions about the Raleigh. The Brooks B72 for this bike isn't quite as comfortable as the B66 on my Collegiate 3 but it's not too bad. The Raleigh ran into one of his Countrymen while riding around a 1970's Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.

I still have the 1964 Raleigh Sports, speaking of Raleigh Sports owned originally by this forum's founding father. Having a hard time remembering his name. My memory is going, too. Bike has been in deep storage since I got it from him before he passed on. At least 12 years. Willing to part with it.

Ric Green was SBF prior owner. I have a 1962 Women's Racer that I bought from him.

I have had quite a few Raleigh Sports and my favorite, that I still own, is a 1959. Cosmetically it is not my best bike, but for some reason it rides great and is almost mesmerizing with the 3 speed clicking away.

I also have the Women's model of the same year. I bought them together. The Women's model doesn't have a rack on the back and it's a 22" frame. The rear rack on this bike was shipped to me from England because American suppliers only carry black Blackburn Explorers. This bike shop in England are awesome. I also bought the Busch and Muller tail light and rack adapter from them. Very fast shipping from across the pond using Royal Mail. I rehabbed the Women's model with the same Schwalbe Delta Cruiser tires and Jagwire brake cables. I did have to find a B72 for the that bike but one of the sellers from the old forum sold me a pretty nice one. SchwinnCol may be his screen name
